Tutara Peak

Born in the Southwestern countryside of the United Kingdom, Tutara Peak is the creative genesis of multi-instrumentalist, composer and songwriter, Harvey Carter. 

Teasing the birth of the project in early 2020 with mission-driven single “Daydream” composed alongside Aether, Lilia, Zes, and Grand Pavilion – released in support of the UN Refugee Agency the track has since garnered upwards of one million streams on Spotify alone.

The official launch of Tutara Peak arrived in 2021 by way of “Raining Teeth” with Little Snake via Flying Lotus’ lauded record label Brainfeeder. That same year, Tutara Peak unveiled his debut EP Tansuri featuring Mercury-Nominated singer, Lou Rhodes, and frequent collaborator, Zes. The blossoming artist closed out the breakthrough year by debuting his immersive live set across two sold-out shows in London as direct support for Zola Blood and Hybrid.

Alongside a string of single releases in 2022 including the Radiance 3-track and a collaboration with Chinese-Indian-Australian virtuoso Milan Ring, Tutara Peak has earned critical acclaim from industry tastemakers like Lauren Laverne, Tom Ravenscroft, Billboard, C-Heads Magazine, DJ Mag, BBC Radio 1’s Chillest Show, Jamz Supernova, Future Music Magazine, Thissongissick and more.

Outside of the media’s growing interest in Tutara Peak, his musical agility and cinematic bravado have also seen his compositions used during campaigns for the OnePlus 10 Pro, Nespresso, GSK and more.

With his latest signing to international indie tastemaker imprint, Fast Friends and a triumphant solo 3-track featuring a live performance with an acclaimed Los Angeles-based string quartet, Tutara Peak is set to unveil the fruits of his continued sonic explorations with a sophomore EP set for 2024.
